Our Polar Pilots group is not a commercial or charter operation. We're just a group of flyers who enjoy flying our Cessna 172 around the south end of Baffin Island. We don't rent or charter our plane. There are a number of operators in Canada's Eastern Arctic that offer scheduled service to Nunavut and Nunavik (northern Quebec) communities. There are also a number of charter operators. Availability of maintenance services is limited to the various scheduled and charter operators. Most don't do outside work on small aircraft. If you expect to require maintenance services while in Iqaluit, check ahead with the FBO to make sure they are able to help you. |

On Baffin Island, the regional airlines and charter operators are based in Iqaluit. First Air and Canadian North are the main scheduled carriers in the Baffin Region of Nunavut. Kivalliq Air and Calm Air serve the Kivalliq region, from a main hub in Rankin Inlet. And First Air and Canadian North serve Nunavut's Kitikmeot Region.
