Lighting: 03 (033T) AS(TE ME) AP; 21 (213T)  AS(TE ME) AP  ARCAL-122.1, type K. Rising terrain penetrates APAPI approach slope approximately 1.5 nm from thresholds runway 03 and runway 21.

SERVICES AT TERMINAL BUILDING: building open limited hours around commercial flight arrivals/departures  while CARS is staffed. Payphone in building; Nursing station, RCMP, hotel and store (limited hours) within 5 nm of the airport. No rental cars.

Note: The Canada Flight Supplement offers this advice about flying to Qikiqtarjuaq: " NW edge of Northern apron bordered by water. Runway edge lighting installed higher than standard (approximately 27 inches high located 5' outside runway edge). High ground penetrates take off and approach slopes approximately 1.5 nm from each end of runway".

Fuel note: The local fuel agent does not sell AVGAS (100LL). In the past,  the Hamlet of Qikiqtarjuaq was known to keep a few drums in stock for visiting small planes, but that fuel is now gone, and the hamlet has no plans to stock more.
